A little about me, my favorite gear, some FAQ, recent projects and favorite shots.
Franck Mille, CEO & Creative Director of Bovtiqve Fashion Week (BVFW) and Atlanta native is a veteran in the fashion industry who brings a wealth of experience and a unique creative vision to the runway. BVFW took center stage at Energi / Union Square for it’s second New York debut unveiling a lineup of new and emerging designers as well as a diverse array of models. With him this year was a hidden gem, Alessia Aucoin, a Parsons School of Design graduate and designer of CYCL_D Clothing.
With the tagline “REIMAGINING THE WAY WE USE WASTE MATERIAL” CYCL_D uses only upcycled materials that have either been thrifted or donated— taking old or unwanted garments and turning them into something new and unique. The results— one-of-a-kind pieces that are both fashionable and sustainable.
Aucoin uses materials beyond your typical old t-shirts. Cotton curtains, table cloths, recycled mohair and sleeping bag filling to name a few were on full display during her BVFW runway debut. Aucoin draws inspiration from North & South Pole exploration while borrowing elements from the traditional construction of these historical garments. The brand merges a contemporary craft with historical references.
